Writing a windows driver

So I have the opportunity to write a windows driver...

Anyone partake in such madness? I am debating whether to bid the job or not. Thoughts?

Wow I did not know you had the skill to do something like that! Writing drivers is pretty low-level stuff, so you have to be a real good programmer to be able to do something like that. Also, would you be responsible for maintaining it? This one-time job that you get paid for could have long term support ramifications that garners no pay...

Well, that's just it. I am normally an app level guy. Windows has the WDK for drivers that makes it "easier" but I still feel this would be a real stretch for me. If someone had experience in it that I could pick their brain, I would feel more comfortable.
